Due to the continued popularity of games against bots, I present to you ‘Survival of the Fittest’!
This format is a survival contest lasting several weeks. You fight until only one of you is left.
So, who will struggle through to be the last survivor in the end?
The rules: 1. Every week, on Sunday, I will publish a new bot challenge online.
2. All participants will then have one week to complete it and post a replay in this thread. If a participant does not post their replay before I put the next challenge online, they are out... This is usually on Sunday mornings, but can sometimes be in the afternoon. I will keep a list of all active participants to keep track.
3. For each challenge, the specific rules for the challenge must be followed.
4. Replays that were not made during the week of the challenge may not be used.
5. No cheating
6. No speeding up or slowing down the game & no pause abuse!
7. No fixed start boxes
Notes:[Spoiler]This format is intended for players of all ranks. Therefore, some may find the first few challenges too easy. But I want to give all players the opportunity to participate.
In order to maintain a better overview, I ask all participants to simply update their old post every week.
Also, I probably won't check every replay, it just takes too much time. I simply ask all participants to play fair. After all, it's just about having fun.
Challenge 01:[Spoiler]Map: Bandit_plains_v1Rules: All units, factories and buildings are allowed
Bots: 1x Hard AI
Win condition: Win the game
Personal Note: I'm absolutely thrilled that so many players have decided to take part in the challenge. Unfortunately, not many beginners have entered. That's why I'm definitely going to raise the difficulty level faster than planned.
Challenge 02:[Spoiler]Map: Lowland Crossing Revised v2Rules: Amph Factory only (no other buildings), No fighting with your Commander (When the com does 1 dmg, its loost); Allowed Units: Duck!
Bots: 1x Brutal AI
Win condition: Win the game in under 3:35
Personal Note: 3:28 was my best attempt in a round that went almost perfectly. I tried +-5 times.
2nd Note: Due to my early mistake... I had forgotten to write down 1 rule, i let peopole pass that did the challenge without the "Only Duck" rule
Challenge 03:[Spoiler]Map: Great Divide V1Rules: No units except constructors; No fighting with your commander or any constructors (hold fire for both); no abuse of commander explosion
Bots: 1x Brutal AI & 1 inactive AI
Win condition: Win the game
Challenge 04:[Spoiler]Map: Hera Planum 0.91Rules: No terraforming; At the 3 min mark, your commander has to be self-destructed (meaning at 3 min, it is dead); You are not allowed to build radar, adv. Radar or any unit that has/gives radar; Every building you construct needs to touch the edge of the map, the only exception are mexes!!
Bots: 2x Hard AI
Win condition: Win the game
Personal Note:
A few people approached me last week. They told me that the challenges were too easy and that I should significantly increase the difficulty. Well this is the case this week. I guarantee none of you will complete this challenge on the first try. And some of you will fail it completely.
Also a big thanks to
Sixi and @PLT_Chomolungma who helped a lot with testing the challenge this week.
Good Luck!
Challenge 05:[Spoiler]Map: Comet Catcher Redux v3.1Rules: Max 1 plate for each factory & No caretakers & no factory supporting with commander or constructors.
Bots: 2x Brutal AI & 2 Inactive AI
Win condition: Win the game
Personal Note: You all knew it would happen, it is time for the classic!!!
Challenge 06: The End![Spoiler]Map: Carrot Mountains v1.0Rules: No Terraform, No static defenses, 0 excess of metal, max 1 storage allowed
Bots: 2x Brutal AI
Win condition: Be the fastest player to win the game. Good luck to both of you!
The challenge ends at 8 pm UTC on the 20th october
Personal Note: I will make a new post to formulate some thoughts about the series during the next days. Please read it then.
Clarifications:
All of your replays can be checked by your opponement at any time.
Essentially posting it late or early does not really give a big advantage.
But it could be a strategy to post a slow replay early, knowing that you have a faster time already set.
Im the build menu, everything within the "C" section (where lotus, stardust, ddm aso. is located) counts as a static defense.

Wow, what a close finish!
And what a time. In 17 minutes, that's really impressive.
Congratulations @Madez, for this great performance.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have helped me in any way to set up this challenge. There were some who gave me tips or helped me with testing.
I hope all participants enjoyed the event. I know it didn't all go smoothly, but I learned a lot and would like to organize it again sometime in a slightly different way.
In addition, I would like to open the door to any constructive criticism or suggestions as to what could be done differently. Then the next time will surely be even better.
Thanks to all participants :)
