The long range and loud noise of the Big Bertha can be used for a little psychological warfare. Scout the enemy base. Have the Big Bertha shell the enemy base and prepare for a heavy attack. If they have an army, they will send it to your defences in a last ditch attack. If you've done your job, their army will be destroyed and you can mop up their base.
