.. in a matchmaker match.
The player alleged that a spectator was feeding me info. As it turned out, there was a spectator present, which I didn't know until later, and I suppose it is possible for cheating to occur under such circumstances.
Of course, what's the point? Still, I suppose it would be good for all parties to be entirely confident that no cheating is taking place, so no one is throwing around accusations. Is there any way to do that?

If it was your most recent match https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/2421005?ShowWinners=True
with VErankTunacantine being the spectator I know enough people who'd vouch for them, including me.

After having a look at the replay, theres nothing to worry about, this was more them being salty.

It's also very funny how they accuse you of copying their pick, when you plopped rovers before, with them "copying" you. xD
I also assume they werent aware they were on radar with their first scorchers and darts which allowed you to counter them seemingly out of nowhere to them.

Just salt, nothing more.

If you'd watch the replay, you could see that the spectator had connected around where USrankKingLx25x had quit your match.

In regards of making sure mm can't be spec cheated. Playing in MM already mutes the lobby and spec messages, I suppose that the next step would be passwording games, or locking spectators out of them in another way. But that would require hosts to do something about it.

Generally moderators would inspect if any cheating could take place. In this regard, the accusation seemed to be that of intentionally creating a rover mirror... which to me doesn't really make sense as rovers are a good choice for the map anyway.

I wish you great future games, you played well.

USrankKingLx25x has not exactly been giving the best impression of themselves judging by comments and forum posts. I would advise you to simply ignore them. Any actual accusations would be moderator turf and they can determine cope from a battle loss with actual spec cheat.

Don't worry about USrankKingLx25x, that guy's a loser who has zero interest in getting better and can't accept that he's shit at the game. Dude should be banned until he fixes his attitude IMO.

So far USrankKingLx25x plays 1v1s so whatever he does causes no harm to others. Only the colorful words. A timed mute, maybe?

Is this the second coming of TimOfBorg? Man used to hurl out cheating accusations like candy lol

> How to report?

You can click the player profile and beside their username there are three text bubbles, the second one is report to admins.

Apparently it's moot now. But I just wanted to mention that one thing I've appreciated about the ZK community is the quality of sportsmanship that generally prevails. And I gather that the admins make efforts to keep it that way. So thank you.

How to report?

The best way is during a match, hold TAB and then click the ! next to a player's name. This method appends the match number to the report form and the admins know where to look for said behavior.

I rarely check the forums.
I talked with the player shortly after your match ended seeing their cheating accusation, via the matchmaking chatroom that shows up when a match ends, to explain to them that I had just joined a few moments after he had already quit and that he could have checked it on his own replay. He was just salty at the time due to a rather unfortunate losing streak. You're good.
I spectate a lot of games. I spend like 70 to 80% of my time in-game just spectating lobbies.
